About

Coming to America as an immigrant refugee during my formative years has taught me the importance of finding peace, prosperity, and purpose. I am a firm believer that business success is the product of improving financial, mental, physical, and spiritual health. I place my strongest value in this holistic approach. During my career, I have bootstrapped five successful companies while helping a uniquely diverse set of entrepreneurs improve their business and personal lives. I have positively impacted founders and their companies with $0 to +$100M in revenue in both for profit and nonprofit businesses.

I co-founded Curacubby, a Next-Gen Fintech platform for education, recreation, and family activity programs. During my tenure as CEO, I grew the company from $0 to over $1 billion in TPV and over a quarter million active users. I led go-to-market strategy and execution in the education and child services cross-vertical markets resulting in hundreds of acquisitions of national early childhood and K-12 customers across 25+ states, including marquee brands such as top ranking California School Districts and University of California accounts - driving initial ACV to peak ACV up 600x.

As a thought leader in sales, operations, and process management, I have been featured in international media including The New York Times, CNN, Forbes, and Inc. Magazine. I am an advisor to the Arrowhead Center of Innovation at New Mexico State University, served as a mentor at the Envestnet | Yodlee Fintech Launchpad, and was previously a parent co-founder of an early education program for children with special needs.

I founded my first business at age 12; DJing for local high school dances in Oakland, CA, and by age 16 began producing Hip-Hop music and founded a record label I later sold to fund my college education. After earning my bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of California at Berkeley, I joined my first start-up during “Dotcom 1.0” and helped build one of the earliest online technical recruiting platforms. During the decline of the Dotcom bubble, I founded Ice Chamber Athletic Performance Training where I also coached the USA National Women’s Kettlebell Lifting Team and led them to victory as the first group of individuals from the Western Hemisphere to win Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at International Competitions in Eastern Europe. To help accelerate the performance of my team, I invented KettleGuard, a patented protective wrist device for kettlebell lifting which also became a best selling product in its category. During my venture in the fitness industry, I spent over a decade coaching elite athletes, designing education curriculums, and granting CEU/CECs to fitness professionals for the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise.

I have experienced the best and the worst in the world of business and entrepreneurship. Along the way, I continued to learn and grow, while helping thousands of people improve their personal and professional lives. I look forward to learning more about you and helping wherever I can!

On the product side, I designed the vertical use cases, and led the PMF and UX needs analysis, resulting in the only Ed-Tech platform on the market to combine custom online forms, registration, attendance tracking, back-office operations, and embedded payments for PreK to 12 service providers, while completing a channel partnership with a Nasdaq 100 / S&P 100 company in the process; culminating in winning The U.S. Department of Commerce: Minority E-Commerce Firm of the Year in 2022.
